In Loving Memory – Air India Flight AI171 Tragedy


On June 12, 2025, Air India flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport en route to London Gatwick.

The aircraft, carrying 242 people (230 passengers and 12 crew), collided with the BJ Medical College hostel in the Meghani Nagar area at approximately 1:38 p.m. IST, causing a massive fire and heavy destruction.


🕯️ 241 onboard and at least 8 on the ground lost their lives.

Only one passenger, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh (seat 11A), survived.

🏥 BJ Medical College Hostel Tragedy

Several medical students and residents inside the hostel also lost their lives in this unexpected disaster. These were young, bright lives preparing for a better future — taken too soon.
